Hi, I'm Emma, founder of Lumos Virtual Support.

If there's one thing I've learned during my career, it's that being organised can make an enormous difference – both in business and in life.

But I also know that being organised doesn't mean you have to do everything yourself.

A Little About Me

I've spent around 30 years working in administrative and business management roles, from working in Europe as an Executive Assistant to spending eight years as an EA/PA in London.

I also spent 15 years as a company director, running a business and managing a large team.

So I've experienced business from both sides.

I've been the person organising, supporting and making things happen behind the scenes.

But I've also been the business owner with a team to manage, decisions to make, customers to look after and an ever-growing list of things that needed my attention.

That's experience I now bring to every client I support through Lumos.

Why I Created Lumos Virtual Support

I created Lumos because I'm naturally someone who likes to organise, solve problems and make life easier for other people.

I'm the person who looks at a chaotic spreadsheet and wants to sort it.

The person who likes a system.

The person who gets genuine satisfaction from ticking something off a list!

But more importantly, I understand just how valuable time is.

When you're running a business, it's incredibly easy to fall into the trap of thinking you should do everything yourself.

• You can answer every email.
• You can create every social media post.
• You can update the website, organise the diary, chase the invoice and research that thing you've been meaning to look into for three months.

But just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is hand something over.
